Roasted Kukicha
Roasted Kukicha
Weight: 50 gMade exclusively from the stems of the tea plant, this green tea has been roasted, turning the green stems a sandalwood colour and transforming the tea into a warming delight. The aroma is one of fresh wood on a spring day, which transforms to that of vegetables roasted over a bbq. It immediately reminds me of vegetable skewers of roasted peppers and tomatoes. The liquor is a light orange. Far lighter than our Houjicha Dark, but still carrying a warming sensation. This tea is subtle in its notes, producing a light and refreshing honeyed sweetness and granting a gentle energy boost.
