Georgian Shou Mei
Georgian Shou Mei
Weight: 40 gA classic Chinese white tea, which translates to white peony, is a staple for all tea lovers. This, however, is a Georgian variety. It carries all the classic qualities of a high quality shou mei. The Pale green leaves that smell like cut grass on a rainy day. The liquor is a pale yellow colour with a hint of green. A lovely vegetal note is present, with a hint of steamed, sweetened milk lingering on the tongue. I gong fu brew this tea for around 6 to 8 infusions in a pot of around 100ml. It's a great introduction to the world of white tea, and also tastes great as a cold brew for those spring and summer months. A superbly fresh and clean tasting white tea.
